What Does the Bible Say About..Populating the Earth?

In the beginning of the Bible when the son of Adam and Eve went out in to the world he went out to a town and I thought god only made two people so how did this town pop up?

Answer

And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. (Genesis 4:16-17)

The passage does not say Cain went to a city, but that he built a city. God created two people and they had children who had children, who had children. Adam was about 130 years old at this time (Genesis 4:25, 5:3). Assuming Cain had 20 brothers and sisters and each pairing had 20 children each, by this time the population of the earth could be over 22 million people.

The Bible doesn’t specify how many children Adam and Eve had, or how soon, so my numbers are as much of an assumption as your assumption of only two people. But if my numbers are even slightly off, that is still a lot of people.
